UAE book final berth as all 20 teams confirmed — Full list inside

The ICC T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka from February 6 to March 8, will now be attended by all 20 confirmed participating teams, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) clinching the last spot.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) secured the 20th and final place in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Their important win against Japan in the Asia/East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Qualifiers in Oman completed the list of countries ready to compete for the prestigious trophy, securing their place in this prestigious tournament.

UAE joins Nepal and Oman as the only three teams to have successfully emerged from competitive regional qualifiers. This achievement marks the UAE’s third participation in the T20 World Cup, having previously participated in the 2014 and 2022 tournaments.

12 teams received automatic entry during the qualification process for the 2026 event, while the remaining eight positions were filled through regional qualifiers. The automatic qualifiers consist of the two host nations, the top eight teams from the 2024 T20 World Cup and the next two top-ranked teams in the ICC Men’s T20I Rankings.

The stage is now set for what is expected to be the exciting tenth edition of the T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in February and March 2026.
