Meghan Markle’s future predicted as latest award could ‘elevate’ brand | Royal | News

Meghan Markle may return to podcasting after her latest award, an expert says. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is likely to be in a good mood today following the news that her Confessions of A Female Founder podcast, produced by Lemonada Media, has won gold in The Signal Awards’ ‘Businessmen and Entrepreneurs Shape Culture’ category.
The podcast was also named ‘Listener’s Choice’ in this category. This is believed to be great news for the Duchess, although her podcast, which launched earlier this year, has so far not been renewed for a second season.
While Meghan has previously said it’s because she’s currently focused on her As Ever brand, a brand and culture expert believes she could turn to podcasting as a “natural extension” of her business.
Brand and culture expert Nick Ede also believes such an award would “elevate” Meghan’s brand.
He specifically told express.co.uk: “Meghan has shown that her podcasts resonate and are award-winning, which is great for her and her brand.
“I think we’ll see him return to podcasting in a few years. His number one priority is the As Ever brand; he may decide to build a podcast around that in the future as a natural extension of the business.”
Mr Ede continued: “Receiving an award for your work is visually great, it elevates your brand and shows that people are paying attention and that a group of experts or the general public have taken the time to vote for your work, which means a lot.”
