Opinion | The Right Has Gone Woke

Thank you, President Trump, for ending a scourge that has plagued our nation for far too long. We are free from wakefulness. I didn’t wake up anymore. I am joking. The truth is that wakefulness is actually alive and well. Let’s get Mexico out of the Gulf. Include America in this. When you see someone celebrating Charlie’s murder, call his employer. It’s kind of hard to navigate the real world now as a straight, white male. Wokeness is just wearing a MAGA hat. This is awakening. Now they are trying to control people’s language. They limited what federal agencies were allowed to mention in their documents, such as these dangerous words. These are some of the many seemingly innocuous words that have been deleted from the government’s lexicon. And journalists who refer to the Gulf of America as the Gulf of Mexico are getting their credentials revoked because the woke right likes to tell people what to say when it comes to historical landscapes. Rename Denali to Mount McKinley. And these aren’t just individual words. The tongue of the right has awakened. The police claimed that their mission was to defend freedom of expression and immediately stop all government censorship. In other words, they protect freedom of expression by canceling the visas of many international students who participated in pro-Palestinian demonstrations. And books are being pulled from libraries and schools because they mention gay and transgender people or people of different ethnic backgrounds. If you commit any crime, the language police see anything as a threat to society, like criticizing MAGA, the MAGA gang, Donald Trump, they will try to cancel you. And it’s not just left-handed celebrities who are canceling respected four-star Gen. Mark Milley by removing his portrait from the Pentagon. Due to General Milley, who I know is a lazy guy, and the administration’s efforts to add DEI, any mention of Jackie Robinson has been temporarily removed from the Pentagon’s website. And they named a Navy ship after Harvey Milk senior because he was also a gay rights activist. We remove politics from ship naming. So the woke right believes its version of cancel culture makes the world a safer place by protecting innocent civilians from the dangers of woke rebranding. He sparked the rebranding by rejecting what he saw as an ignorant, stale image. White people are about to revolt and rid us of businesses that openly support the gay community. What’s going on at Target? And I think this needs to go beyond a simple boycott. So while the woke right criticizes the woke left for their victim mentality, especially if you’re a minority who can’t free themselves from their bootstraps, the woke right declares that the real victims are now white, heterosexual men of the Christian faith. Because we all know that systemic oppressions like racism and misogyny affect heterosexual white men the most. Wokeness began as a tool to call for social justice within the Black community, but it transformed the left into a divisive, exclusionary culture. The right has turned it into a tool of authoritarianism. Either way, when both parties are subjected to moral purity tests, victimhood contests, and public shaming, we lose our ability to unite around a common cause and see each other as human beings.
