Cabinet is Fighting for Personal Gains

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao alleged that the state cabinet has been reduced to a battleground for kickbacks and internal rivalries. At an event held at party headquarters Telangana Bhavan, he said the recent controversies regarding ministers have revealed that Cabinet membership means personal gain.

From Medaram Jatara works to allotment of tenders and payment of bills, ministers are focusing on ‘cuts’, Rama Rao alleged. Rama Rao said, “Despite allegations of serious corruption, neither the Prime Minister nor his Cabinet colleagues have responded. Who will run the state when ministers fight for commissions in Cabinet meetings?” he asked.

The former minister felt that the November 11 Jubilee Hills by-election would act as a referendum on the governance, law and order and credibility of the Congress government. He alleged that for the past two years, the Congress government had stalled major development projects while unleashing ‘bulldozer policy’ on the people. Rama Rao urged voters to reject Congress’s theatrics and remember the ‘420 guarantees’ that deceived the people.

Rama Rao alleged that the Congress government failed to deliver a single people-centric program and focused only on publicity and self-promotion. “Since the day Congress came to power, the progress of Hyderabad and the overall development of Telangana have come to a grinding halt. This is the result of irresponsible governance and misplaced priorities,” he said.
