James Comey seeks case dismissal, challenges Trump prosecutor Halligan

Former FBI Director James Comey asked a federal judge on Monday to dismiss President Donald Trump’s criminal case, arguing that he was prosecuted vindictively because of his hostility towards him.
Comey also argued in a series of impeachment petitions filed in federal court in eastern Virginia that the indictment against him was fatally flawed because his prosecutor, interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, was unlawfully appointed.
