Beloved cheerleader, 18, will die TODAY after she was shot by stranger at party

A promising young cheerleader will be taken off life support Tuesday evening after being shot at a party.
Kimber Mills, 18, of Cleveland, Alabama, was one of four people struck by gunfire near a highway near Palmerdale on Saturday.
His brain is too damaged to survive his injuries. His sister said she would be holding a ‘pride parade’ at 4pm ET.
Ashley Mills wrote on Facebook: ‘He will be an organ donor when he is declared brain dead.’
Kimber’s family and friends will line the halls of the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham to pay their respects to the teenager.
They will watch as the teenager is taken into surgery so his heart and lungs can be donated.
Kimber is said to be breathing with assistance and was heavily sedated to keep her comfortable.
Speaking at the memorial service on Monday night, Ashley said: ‘We shouldn’t be burying our little sister.
‘It should be the other way around. It should not go to the youngest first, but from the oldest to the youngest.

Kimber was a beloved cheerleader at Cleveland High School who aspired to become a nurse, her sister Ashley said.
Ashley added: ‘She wanted to do things that I wanted but I couldn’t, like be a nurse, help people, and that’s exactly what she was trying to do that night… just help.’
Two men, ages 18 and 21, and a 20-year-old woman were injured in Saturday’s shooting and are expected to survive their injuries.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said 27-year-old Steven Tyler Whitehead has been charged with attempted murder.
The group was shot after a fight allegedly broke out. Kimber’s family says she did not know Whitehead.
Ashley said -WBRC: ‘He was out there trying to hit on a girl and give her things she didn’t want’, an apparent reference to a spiked drink.
“We hope he gets what he deserves,” he added.
The shooting took place on a section of private property known as ‘the pit’, where local youths gather to hang out and listen to music.

A large vigil for Kimber was held on her high school field Monday evening as family and friends prepared to say goodbye.
Updates on the conditions of other victims were not shared.
Family friend Morgan Kaye Metz said: ‘He’s giving the greatest gift today. Life.
‘He was a blessing and now he will bless others.’
A GoFundMe page Originally set up to raise money for Kimber, the money will reportedly also be used to help other victims of the shooting.
