New law proposes to give King power to remove Prince Andrew from duchy
A new bill was proposed in the House of Commons that would give the King the power to remove Andrew from the dukedom.
York Central MP Rachael Maskell has introduced legislation that would give Charles the power to remove the titles.
The proposed new law would give the monarch the power to remove titles on his or her own initiative, either on the advice of a joint committee of parliament or at the request of the person holding the title.

Who lived in the Royal Lodge before Andrew?
Prince Andrew’s residence at the 30-room Royal Lodge in Windsor has come under intense scrutiny over the past few days.
However, the spacious mansion, located on 98 acres of land, has been used for accommodation by the royal family since the 1800s.
Before Andrew’s family resided in the Royal Lodge, it was occupied by King George VI and the Queen Mother while they were still the Duke and Duchess of York.
Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret spent a lot of time at the Royal Lodge, which was used by the family as a countryside retreat.
In the mid-18th century, military topographer and artist Thomas Sandby lived in the house as assistant ranger of the Great Park and named the property the Assistant Ranger’s House.
It later became the home of park enforcement officer Joseph Frost, who became general manager of the plantations after Sandby’s death.
George, Prince of Wales, who later became King George IV, used the lodge as temporary accommodation in 1812.
In 1830, King Henry IV. By William’s order, almost all of it was demolished and rebuilt, except for the conservatory. By 1840 it was used as accommodation for various officials of the royal family.

MPs ‘putting a lot of pressure’ on Royal Lodge for investigation – report
MPs on the public accounts select committee are reportedly “pressing hard” for an investigation into the lettings of Prince Andrew’s Royal Lodge.
Guard reports that lawmakers are rallying support for the investigation. The entire committee will need to agree to the investigation before it can proceed.
The select committee is chaired by Conservative MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown.
The publication reported that Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey wrote to Mr Clifton-Brown to launch the inquiry: “Appropriate transparency is urgently needed and parliament has an important role to play in scrutinizing the royal estate and promoting taxpayers’ interests.”

As pressure mounts on Prince Andrew over his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, MPs and campaigners have called on him to leave his residence at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
It was revealed on Tuesday that Andrew had only paid “pepper rent” for the property for two decades.
The 30-room Lodge was the Windsor residence of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, from 1952 until her death in 2002.

Four people arrested over Trump-Epstein projection at Windsor Castle released without charge
Four people arrested for projecting images of US President Donald Trump with Jeffrey Epstein at Windsor Castle at the start of last month’s state visit have been released without charge, Thames Valley Police said.
A 60-year-old man from East Sussex, a 36-year-old man from London, a 37-year-old man from Kent and a 50-year-old man from London were arrested on suspicion of malicious communications relating to the incident.
On Wednesday evening Thames Valley Police said no further action would be taken.
The statement said: “The investigation into the four people arrested in connection with the unauthorized projection onto Windsor Castle has been concluded and no further action will be taken against them.
“The arrests took place on September 16 and included a 60-year-old man from East Sussex, a 36-year-old man from London, a 37-year-old man from Kent and a 50-year-old man from London.
“These individuals were arrested on suspicion of offenses such as malicious communication and public nuisance.”
