Govt Whip defends CM’s leadership style, questions KTR’s ‘hypocricy’

Hyderabad

Government Whip Adi Srinivas accused BRS working president KT Rama Rao of ‘hypocrisy’ and ‘corruption’ during the BRS regime and defended Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership style.

In response to KTR’s allegations about the Prime Minister, he said that speaking recklessly about the Prime Minister does not make anyone a great man. “KTR, no matter how much you lie, no matter how much you abuse, it will not make any difference,” he said.

The Government Whip said that the people of Telangana were already judging KTR and his family’s rule and the “staggering loot” that took place was known to all. He accused Pragathi Bhavan of turning it into a fortress by mocking democracy and showcasing the arrogance of KCR and KTR.

Mr. Srinivas also recalled how the BRS leadership treated Ministers, including the dismissal of the Dalit Deputy Chief Minister without giving any reason. Ministers and MLAs were mistreated and cried for some respect, but they merely insulted Pragati Bhavan and the public, he claimed.

He added that unlike KCR, Mr. Revanth Reddy never took sadistic pleasure in ‘mistreating’ Ministers or MLAs. He also claimed that the Telangana society was aware that during the decade-long BRS rule, “honest IAS and IPS officers were sidelined without commissioning, while retired officers were used to run the government”.

Responding to KTR’s criticism of the Telangana police, Mr. Srinivas retorted that the police acted as per norms, unlike the previous regime.

Continuing his attack, Mr. Srinivas demanded that KTR respond to the serious allegations leveled by his family members who were “thrown out because they wanted a share of the ‘corruption money'”.
