Royal fans have claimed Prince Andrew should be forced to leave the Royal Lodge. The 65-year-old actor announced last week that he would relinquish his remaining titles and honours, leading to speculation he was residing at his 30-room property on the Windsor estate.
Although King Charles is believed to have been trying to encourage his brother to downsize to another royal house for the past few years, even making changes to his security to make it happen, Andrew has reportedly refused to budge on it. Andrew signed a 75-year lease in 2003, meaning he could live in the property until 2078.
A poll by the Express asked royal fans whether she would be forced to leave the house.
Andrew has reportedly lived there for over twenty years, paying “pepper rent”.
Debating the Royal Lodge, MP Robert Jenrick said it was “time for Prince Andrew to go live privately” because “the public are fed up with him”. He said: “He has disgraced himself, embarrassed the Royal Family over and over again. Frankly I don’t understand why taxpayers should continue to foot the bill. The public are fed up with him.”

In the comments section, one fan even added a time limit for Andrew, writing: “I think Prince Andrew should continue to do the right thing and that includes volunteering to vacate his 30-bedroom mansion by Christmas…. It’s the right thing to do!…”
Another commented: “I think she needs to get a smaller place because she needs 30 rooms because it doesn’t pay anything or her bills so yeah she needs to leave that house.”
A third person, who suggested Sarah Ferguson should be forced to leave instead of Andrew, commented: “I don’t think she should be forced to leave but I think Sarah should go, together they bring great shame to the monarchy…”
