Denise Richards denies cashing Charlie Sheen’s million dollar check

Denise Richards has denied cashing a million-dollar check from ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

The actor proved this to his Instagram followers by sharing a photo of the outstanding check, tagging Sheen and adding the song “Money” by Pink Floyd.

The reality star wrote on her Instagram story: “Found this during my last move. Never cashed in, @CharlieSheen. Is it still good?!”

The check was dated December 24, 2011, five years after their divorce became final.

Her post came just days after she said Sheen wrote her a check for a million dollars and claimed she cashed it a month after he gave her the money; This surprised and shocked him. KFC Radio podcast.

Sheen did not disclose when he wrote the check and stated that he forgot whether it was written during their marriage or after their divorce.

The “Two and a Half Men” star stated that it was more of a symbolic gift to him, most likely for his birthday, but he can’t remember exactly.

Richards’ birthday is February 17, and the check he shared was dated December.

“So I don’t think he’ll be too angry,” he said on his podcast, meaning he was upset that Richards told the story.

“I wrote Denise a check for a million dollars on her birthday, kind of as a joke, and she didn’t keep it as a joke,” said Sheen, who has been sober for about eight years.

“And then, like, a month later, I cashed in the fuck it,” he added. “Which makes it hurt more…”

Sheen, who said he probably would have cashed the money if it had been him, said: “Maybe he wouldn’t have let me know that day. ‘Hey, you sound like you’re driving somewhere.” ‘Yes, actually to the bank!'”

He remembered being grateful that the check had not bounced.

Richards and Sheen married in 2002, then separated in March 2005, when she was six months pregnant with their second child, daughter Lola.

Despite a brief reconciliation five months after their separation, they went on to divorce in 2006.

In 2020, Richards considered leaving Sheen during an episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” while she was pregnant with their second child.

“Things began to change rapidly when I became pregnant with Lola. It was a very dark and very toxic time. I filed for divorce when I was six months pregnant with him. I always did my best to hide Charlie’s behavior.”

Richards and Sheen now have a friendly relationship.

Richards is also on good terms with Sheen’s third ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, with whom he shares twin sons Max and Bob.

Richards is in the midst of divorcing Aaron Phypers after six years of marriage.

The actress accused Phypers of physical and emotional abuse throughout their marriage and presented the court with footage of her alleged black eye following an argument she had with him.

Last week Phypers was arrested in court and charged with four offences: two counts of wounding a spouse and two counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat.

He posted $200,000 bail after his arrest.

Richards has previously testified that her estranged husband attempted to discredit her by allegedly leaking nude pictures of her and also claimed he stole her computer in an attempt to share “private” information and images with news outlets.
