Early voting begins in New York and New Jersey for mayor, governor races

Early voting takes place on Saturday in New York New Jersey The public votes in the hotly contested races for mayor of New York and governor of New Jersey.

The New York State Board of Elections said early voters are being given nine days to vote in person before Election Day, which begins on Oct. 25 and ends on Nov. 2. The race to become the Big Apple’s next mayor is drawing national attention.

Democratic mayoral candidate and leader on Friday Zohran Mamdani He received support from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D.N.Y. Earlier this week, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is running as an independent candidate for mayor, was officially endorsed by current New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

“I’ll be voting tomorrow, the first day of early voting,” Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa said on ‘The Will Cain Show’ on Friday. “This should be the nail in the coffin for anyone who thinks I dropped out.”

Sliwa faces pressure to drop out of the race to improve Cuomo’s chances of defeating Mamdani.

Meanwhile, the New Jersey Division of Elections said each county in the state “will designate in-person early voting locations that will be open from Saturday, October 25, 2025 through Sunday, November 2, 2025 (the in-person early voting period).”

“In 2021, a historic law implemented in-person early voting in New Jersey. This law makes our state even more voter-friendly and strengthens our democracy by expanding opportunities to exercise your right to vote.”

“I think we’re in a great position,” Ciattarelli said in an interview with Fox News after a campaign stop at a restaurant in Linden, N.J.
