Technozion-2025 Ignites Innovation At NIT

-Warangal: National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW) inaugurated its flagship technical festival, Technozion-2025, with the participation of 7,000 students from various institutions in Hanamkonda.

Founded in 2001, Technozion is a student-focused technical festival focused on innovation and leadership. This year’s edition recorded 1,614 entries across various events, with a total prize pool of ₹2 lakh on offer.

The event was hosted by Prof. NITW alumnus and professor at IISc Bangalore. Opened by G. Madhavi Latha. Speaking at the event, Prof. Latha shared knowledge gained from her 17 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab River, located 350 meters above the riverbed.

Stating that adaptability and problem solving are important in engineering, he stated that the design of the bridge is constantly evolving to respond to geological challenges arising through excavation during construction. The project owed its success to the synergy between precise design, flexible site decisions and collaborative expertise.

Technozion-2025 includes 23 events organized by student clubs and 31 events organized by departmental societies, as well as numerous workshops and expert conferences.

High-stakes competitions include Blaze, a national gaming and coding marathon; Shark Tank 2.0, an entrepreneurship pitching event; Launchpad, a rocket design and launch challenge; and Bomb’s Away, a rapid prototyping competition to build a working model airplane in two days. Other attractions include the Vehicle Show, where student teams show off their self-built vehicles, such as quad bikes and F1-style racing cars.

Events such as Earthquake Resistant Building Design Competition, Scoop Stop, Kaun Banega Civil Engineer, Code Red, Laser Maze Navigation, Morse Code Propagation and Neon Cricket added a lively mix of science, technology and entertainment to the festival.
