QUAD nations launch coast guard cooperation initiative

The coastal guards of the quartet-India, Japan, the United States and the Australia-Indo-Pacific to deepen the sea cooperation in the four Sea Ship Observer Mission.
The Sea Observer points to a similar initial initiative between the Coast Guard, Japan Coast Guard, the United States of the United States Coast Guard and the Australian border force.
The active participation of India Coast Guard underlines India’s Sagar’s strategic maritime vision (security and growth for everyone in the region) and complements the national efforts under the Indo-Pacific Oceans initiative. The capacity development in the region emphasizes India’s commitment to a maritime order based on humanitarian aid and rules.
The mission paves the way for deepening operational synergies, confidence and maritime governance among the similar thinking Indo-Pacific partners. India Coast Guard, as global maritime difficulties become complex, this initiative is a step towards common security, collective preparation and regional flexibility.

The strategic cross -processing attempt, including two officials from each participating country, including female officers from each participating country, GUAM is currently on the way to the US Coast Guard Stratton.
Based on the Wilmington Declaration, which was adopted at the Summit of Four Leaders in September 2024, it reflects Quad’s collective solution to strengthen an Indian-Pacific based on task, free, open, inclusive and rules. The statement strengthens the common marine preparation through increasing coordination, field awareness and operational coordination.
