Shooting in Pennsylvania: Chester County Prosecutor Says Multiple Victims in Lincoln University Incident, Investigation Continues

There was a shooting incident at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening (local time), with multiple people reportedly shot. The Chester County District Attorney’s Office said authorities took swift action and are investigating the incident.

The prosecutor’s office shared information about the incident in its post on the social media platform X and called on citizens to stay away from the area at this time.

“The Chester County District Attorney’s Office is aware of a shooting at Lincoln University this evening with multiple victims. Law enforcement responded to the scene and is actively investigating. Please avoid the area at this time,” the post read.

This comes after reports that at least four people were shot outside the Howard University campus Friday night as the institution held its graduation celebration.

Shooting Incident in Alabama

On October 6, news agency IANS, citing local media, reported that two people were killed and 12 people were injured when rival gunmen opened fire on each other in a crowded city center in Montgomery, the capital of the southeastern US state of Alabama.

The IANS report also stated that Montgomery Police Chief James Graboys said three of the injured had life-threatening injuries. Police were called around 11:30 p.m. local time for what Graboys described as a “mass assault,” according to CBS News. He said seven of the gunshot victims were under the age of 17, with the youngest being 16.
