News from Ghaziabad: The holy festival of Chhath has begun with a huge crowd of devotees expected at the Chhath Puja ghats on the banks of the Hindon River in Ghaziabad. Every year more than one lakh devotees reach the ghats to worship. Therefore, Ghaziabad Traffic Police has issued a special traffic plan. This route change will be valid from 14:00 on 27 October to 03:00 on 28 October.
Restrictions
– All commercial vehicles (heavy, medium and light) will be strictly prohibited from plying towards the Indian Bridge and ghats during the Chhath festival.
– It was stated that all commercial vehicles moving from Kanawani towards the Indian Bridge will be strictly prohibited.
– Vehicles traveling towards Seemapuri or Mohan Nagar via Meerut Tiraha will use NH-09 via Diamond Flyover at Hapur Toll.
– Movement of heavy vehicles from Hapur Toll Toll towards Rajnagar Extension will remain closed.
– Vehicles traveling from Bhopura Tiraha towards Hindon Bridge will not be able to travel towards Nagdwar or Karhada via Hindon Air Force Roundabout.
– Such vehicles will be routed from Mohan Nagar via Link Road and UP Gate
Alternative routes
– All vehicles heading towards Indian Bridge from New Link Road, DPS Siddharth Vihar and Meerut Tiraha will use NH-09.
– Commercial vehicles approaching Indian Bridge from Mohan Nagar will travel via Link Road and UP Gate via NH-09.
– New Link Road and vehicles traveling from Meerut Tiraha towards Hindon Bridge will use NH-09 via Jal Nigam T Point.
– Vehicles coming from Mohan Nagar will proceed to their destination via Karhaida, Nagdwar and Raj Nagar Extension. Vehicles coming from Kanawani will proceed via Vasundhara Marg.

Parking regulations, helpline number
- Devotees coming from Meerut Tiraha will proceed towards the ghat by parking their vehicles in the car parks at Moksha Dham and Indira Priyadarshini Park.
- Devotees coming from Mohan Nagar will park their vehicles in the parking lot near the Hajj House.
