Briefly-CM reviews works in Adyar estuary

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin visited the Adyar estuary on Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, his second visit in a week, where he reviewed the steps taken to ensure the discharge of the Adyar river into the Bay of Bengal. He instructed the authorities to complete the ongoing work within two days.

Besides widening and desilting of Adyar estuary, the CM instructed officials to undertake widening and desilting works in Cooum, Muttukadu and Ennore estuaries. Deputy Prime Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Minister Ma. Subramanian, MLA N. Ezhilan and officials of the Water Resources Department and Greater Chennai Corporation accompanied the Chief Minister on the field.
