Tucker Kraft was eating well Sunday night as he and Jordan Love led the Green Bay Packers to a disappointing 35-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Love and Kraft met early and often. The first connection came in the first quarter, when Love found the tight end for a 16-yard touchdown pass to cap a six-play, 67-yard drive.

The Steelers were buoyed by Chris Boswell’s impressive field goals and Aaron Rodgers’ touchdown pass to DK Metcalf. Pittsburgh led 16-7 at halftime. Love came back and didn’t miss a beat.

Love threw a third touchdown pass to Kraft and Savion Williams to put the Packers back in front. Josh Jacobs scored from three yards out in the fourth quarter. Once the Packers took the lead, the defense never let up.

Rodgers entered the game careful not to play the first game of his career against the team that selected him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He fondly remembered his time with the Packers during the week before the game.

He probably wishes things had gone a little differently.

There were times when Rodgers showed how great he continues to be at 41 years old. He made terrific throws to Metcalf and Roman Wilson at points during the night, and even managed to draw the Packers’ secondary into a pass interference call during a crucial touchdown drive.

But there were also times when he became visibly frustrated with his teammates. He was pressured all night by linebackers Micah Parsons and Rashan Gary, and the offense didn’t go very well for the most part. He was aiming to become the fifth quarterback in NFL history to beat all 32 teams in his career.

Some of the tensions Steelers players experienced on the field. During the Steelers’ kickoff, Pittsburgh’s Ben Skowronek was double-teamed by two Packers players. Nick Herbig came to defend Skowronek and pushed Bo Melton to the ground. A brief confrontation involving the two officials ensued.

Afterwards, Metcalf got into an argument with Packers linebacker Quay Walker. The wide receiver dug his fingers into Walker’s face mask. He was called out for unnecessary harshness and hindered the Steelers’ offense.

Green Bay will win at home and improve to 5-1-1. The Steelers fall to 4-3, which will tighten the AFC North race as the midway point of the season approaches.

Love finished 29-of-37 for 360 yards and three touchdowns. Kraft had seven catches for 143 yards and two scores.
