Paris Masters 2025: Cameron Norrie upsets Carlos Alcaraz to reach last 16

Britain’s Cameron Norrie stunned world number one Carlos Alcaraz with a brave comeback in the second round of the Paris Masters.

Norrie, who was defeated repeatedly by the Spaniard in this year’s Wimbledon quarter-finals, won with sets of 4-6 6-3 6-4 and entered the last 16 of the ATP Masters 1000 competition.

After Alcaraz won the first set, Norrie responded strongly in the second set by breaking early and maintaining his momentum to set up the decider.

The world number 31 then hit an incredible backhand to defeat Alcaraz in the final set and save two break points en route to victory.

The Briton will next face the winner of the second round match between wildcards and cousins ​​Valentin Vacherot and Arthur Rinderknech.
