Sports lobbying, Canberra footy and freebie tickets for politicians

The Australian Open and the FIFA World Cup final are just some of the sporting events for which politicians are collecting free tickets, thanks to companies and sports organizations affiliated with the embattled Australian Parliament Sports Club (APSC).
The club, which organizes friendly sports games between politicians, staff and journalists in Canberra – such as Tuesday’s basketball game with MP Josh Burns – returned to action this week as parliament meets in one of the last sitting weeks of the year.
