Rishab Shetty, Kareena Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee laud Team India for record-breaking chase against Australia to reach World Cup final: ‘Kamaal kar diya’

India defeated Australia in the semi-final match to record the highest ever run in a women’s ODI and reach the women’s World Cup final. Celebrities from the movie congratulated the girls on their historic victory as follows.

Guided by Jemimah Rodrigues’ 127 for 134 and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s 89 for 88, India recorded their highest-ever run chase in the women’s ODI and reached the 2025 Women’s World Cup Final by posting 341/5 against Australia’s 338/10 in the semi-final encounter in Navi Mumbai. Many movie celebrities praised team India for their historic win against the defending champions.
Kareena Kapoor, who leads the Indian women’s cricket team, wrote on her Instagram Stories: “And as I said, girls can do anything. With courage and determination… Well done Team India… in the finals, my girls.” In another Instagram Story, she uploaded a photo of Jemimah Rodrigues, writing, “Say hello, fantastic Jemimah” and adding red heart emojis.
Sharing pictures of Team India from the semi-final match on Instagram, Manoj Bajpayee wrote: “Kamaal kar diya! To the finals! Pure heart, grit and class from our women in blue. Chasing 339, the highest in women’s ODI history. A moment that lifted the game and pushed women’s cricket forward in a big way. Hats off to the entire team and especially to @jemimahrodrigues for that quiet century. India will now face South Africa in the 2025 Women’s World Cup Final at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, November 2. Neither India nor South Africa have won in the 12 tournaments played so far. India have lost the final twice to Australia and England in 2005 and 2017 respectively. This will be South Africa’s first Women’s World Cup final.
