Revealed: How Prince William and Princess Kate had their say in Andrew losing his Prince title

Prince William and Princess Kate fully support the King’s decision to strip Andrew of the title of Prince and remove him from the Royal Lodge.
In an explosive statement released on Thursday night, Buckingham Palace said he will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
‘His Royal Highness has today begun a formal process to remove Prince Andrew’s Order, Titles and Honors,’ the Palace said.
‘Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. To date, his lease at Royal Lodge has provided him with legal protection to continue his residence.
‘Formal notice has been given to abandon the lease and he will be moving to alternative private accommodation.
‘These censorships are deemed necessary even though he continues to deny the allegations against him.
‘Her Majesty wishes to make it clear that her thoughts and utmost sympathies are with the victims and survivors of all forms of abuse and remain with them.’
Sources told the Mail that the move was entirely up to the King and his advisors, without pressure from the government or other family members such as Prince William.

‘The process has been going on for some time but there was a need to get it right in the face of some very big challenges,’ a source said.
Prince Andrew was not notified of his move. It was his lease, so it was up to the former Duke of York to report it himself, claiming he wasn’t fighting the process.
The King is understood to have sent a Royal Warrant to the Lord Chancellor to remove the Duchy of York from the Roll of Nobility and the Title of Prince and Style of ‘His Royal Highness’ from Andrew.
Name title change that will take effect immediately.
Andrew will now move to a property on the private Sandringham estate and it is understood any future accommodation he will live in will be privately financed by The King.
Princess Beatrice and Eugenie will retain their Royal titles despite their father Andrew no longer being a Prince.
It appears they will keep their honor in line with King George V’s 1917 Letters Patent.
Amid the row, Charles is said to be very keen to ‘protect’ Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, who remain as Her Royal Highnesses as grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth.
This is the story of the disgraced former duke, King George III. It comes a week after Charles gave up his titles after threatening to officially strip them if he ‘didn’t see sense’.

“He wouldn’t want to sign anything that would affect them,” a source told the Daily Mail.
The announcement came after the disgraced former duke, King Henry III. It comes a week after Charles gave up his titles after threatening to officially strip them if he ‘didn’t see sense’.
As The Daily Mail previously revealed, Her Majesty made clear that she would not hesitate to ‘take further action’ if her younger brother continued to cling to his dukedom and other honors, after it was revealed that he lied about cutting ties with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Despite the tsunami of mounting evidence against him, the 65-year-old is understood to be still trying to dig in with a “staggering lack of remorse” in a situation the King described as “intolerable”, sources have previously said.
Last week, the controversy surrounding the Royal Lodge where Andrew resided continued to grow, with damning new revelations contained in the posthumously published memoir of Andrew’s sexual abuse accuser, Virginia Giuffre, who took her own life this year at the age of 41.
Nobody’s Daughter: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice is scheduled for publication in October, and the manuscript will be completed before her death.
The explosive book revolves around her years as the sex slave of pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and British madam Ghislaine Maxwell.
Excerpts published by The Guardian show Ms Giuffre, who said she was trafficked three times by Epstein to have sex with Andrew, felt the former Duke was ‘entitled’ and thought sex was her ‘birthright’.

The 400-page autobiography also claims the former Duke said “thank you” in a “shortened British accent” after they first met when she was 17.
