Owen Wilson is a doting dad with his two lookalike sons… but there’s no sign of daughter he ‘refuses to meet’
Owen Wilson was spotted cheering with his two sons at a football game in Los Angeles; however, reports continue to claim that he remains estranged from his daughter.
The 56-year-old star of Wedding Crashers looked joyful as she watched the game against Austin FC on Wednesday, wearing matching jerseys with Los Angeles Football Club fans Ford, 14, and Finn, 11.
Owen shares his eldest son, Robert Ford, named after the actor’s late father but known simply as Ford, with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell; His younger son, Finn, is from his relationship with personal trainer Caroline Lindqvist.
Her third child, daughter Lyla, was born in 2018 to ex Varunie Vongsvirates.
Varunie told the Daily Mail in 2019 that she had “begged” the actor to be a part of their little girl’s life, revealing that the actor had “never been involved” and had “never” even met her youngest child.
The Daily Mail did not receive a response to a request for comment from Wilson’s representatives.
Although the reason for Wilson’s distance from Lyla remains unclear, he seemed solely focused on the father-son bond during the game; she was laughing, cheering, and mingling with other parents on the sidelines.

Their third child, daughter Lyla, was born to the couple with ex Varunie Vongsvirates in 2018.
This trip wasn’t the first time Wilson took his sons to an LAFC game; The trio was previously seen cheering them on in July 2024.
Although Wilson has mostly kept his family life out of the spotlight, earlier this year he talked about bonding with his sons, this time through golf.
‘I try, sometimes it’s hard with kids because they’re like me, when you’re a kid you want to play football or football or something. Golf isn’t easy to win, Wilson says People In May, he admitted to sneaking into lessons by making casual trips to Topgolf.

Then in June, Wilson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and shared a more playful update on Finn, who was currently exploring unconventional career ideas.

‘My little one first wanted to be a DJ, then he said he wanted to open a joke shop. He even knew the name of the joke shop: Wilson’s Wizzbangs. “You know, the gun was where you were holding it, and that might shock you a little bit,” the actor recalled.
In an interview in 2021 Esquirehe told his two sons how much he loved being a storyteller.

The proud dad spoke fondly of how much little Finn idolized his big brother.
‘Unbelievable. I mean, everything Ford says is the funniest thing ever and I can make jokes and they’re like crickets. It’s like nothing from these guys.’
‘I can already see what they’ll be like when they’re younger, how they’ll kind of lash out at me,’ Owen said.

A source said in 2018: Us Weekly Wilson reportedly ‘refused to meet his daughter’ and ‘even ticked the no visit box in court in June… did not want to visit’ [and does not] I want custody of him.’
Lyla has also been described as the spitting image of her father.
‘The baby looks just like Owen,’ the source said.
As for Vongsvirates, her last Instagram post was made on October 9, 2022, to celebrate Lyla’s birthday.
The mother-daughter duo posed sweetly with cake, pumpkins and friends at the fall-themed celebration.
When speaking to The Daily Mail in 2019, Vongsvirates said Wilson ‘helped financially but it was never about that’.
When asked about this, he added: ‘Lyla needs a father. How ironic is this? [Owen] ‘He keeps doing these father roles, he plays a father in his new movie and he’s never met his own daughter.’
When asked if she had a message for her ex, Varunie said: ‘You should see your daughter, she is incredible, you are really missing out. “He looks just like you.”
Wilson and Vongsvirates had on-and-off romantic relationships for about five years before going their separate ways.
A paternity test in 2018 confirmed that Wilson was indeed Lyla’s biological father.
