Erika Kirk vows to fight for her husband’s legacy: ‘I’m not afraid’

Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, spoke to Fox News host Jesse Watters on “Jesse Watters Primetime” moments before he took the stage at the University of Mississippi on Wednesday, saying she “felt” her late husband’s presence.
“He’s in heaven orchestrating and sitting and strategizing, and I can feel it,” he told Fox News.

When asked what he hopes to carry forward for Charlie’s legacy, he replied: “All of his wildest dreams for this organization and more. He left me a blueprint in all his journals… He shared everything with me; his vision, his dreams.”
The mother of two shared a personal story about how the song “God Bless the USA” means something special to her children.

“This song is so sweet because my daughter sings it every night,” she explained. “She’s watching and I know she’s going to sing along. So I’m hoping they’re videotaping it because she’s singing it to my son. It’s his lullaby at night that Jesus loves me. And so the little God winks. That’s how I know Charlie is here, of all the songs to be sung.”

The 36-year-old was appointed CEO of Turning Point USA just days after her husband’s murder, replacing Charlie, who founded the conservative activist company in 2012.
He reaffirmed his duty to fight for Charlie’s legacy.
“All I want to do is make sure that we honor Charlie, that we continue to fight the good fight, and that we do it in a very brave and strong way,” he said. “We are not afraid. I am not afraid.”

Kirk’s full interview, including an inside look at Turning Point USA’s Arizona headquarters, will air on “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
This marks the first sit-down meeting since her husband was killed seven weeks ago.
