India’s Ultimate Weapon Revealed: Australian Report Shows How Easily New Delhi Can Cripple Islamabad Without Firing A Single Bullet | World News

Pakistan’s Nightmare: Islamabad is learning the hard way that its hostility towards India can backfire. A new report from Sydney has revealed a harsh truth that is keeping Pakistani generals up at night: Pakistan’s survival depends entirely on India’s mercy.
The Report That Destroyed Pakistan’s Dreams
The Australian Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP), one of the most respected think tanks in the world, dropped a bombshell that sent shock waves to Islamabad with its ‘Ecological Threat Report 2025’. The finding is stark and terrifying for Pakistan: India now has the technical ability to change the course of the Indus River and Pakistan does not have the power to stop it.

This is not just another academic study. This is a death sentence hanging over Pakistan’s head and the rope is in India’s hands.
The crisis could not have come at a worse time for Islamabad. Following the horrific Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 innocent people, India launched Operation Sindoor, destroying several terrorist camps in Pakistan and suspending the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, which had guaranteed Pakistan’s water supply for over six decades.
80% of Pakistan’s Agriculture Depends on India’s Goodwill
Here is the nightmare scenario that has Islamabad in panic mode: 80% of Pakistan’s agricultural land depends entirely on water from the Indus River system. Not 50%. Not 60%. Eighty percent. And this water flows from India.
Pakistan’s densely populated plains, where millions survive on agriculture, are entirely dependent on rivers that India can control without violating any treaties. Because Pakistan’s terrorism forced India to suspend the agreement.
The IEP report clearly reveals Pakistan’s vulnerability: The country has only 30 days of water storage capacity. Thirty days. This is it. If there is any disruption to the river flow, Pakistan faces immediate, catastrophic water shortages that could trigger famines, economic collapse and mass migration.

India Doesn’t Even Need to Completely Block Water
What makes this weapon so devastating is that India does not need to completely stop the flow of water to bring Pakistan to its knees. The Australian report finds that minor adjustments to dam operations during critical periods such as summer could devastate Pakistan’s agricultural hub.
Think about this. There is no need for India to declare war. No need to fire missiles. There is no need to send soldiers to the border. During the period when agriculture is intense, it is enough to open a few valves on the dam gates; Pakistan’s economy is starting to collapse.
The report details how this situation is currently evolving. After suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, India released the water of the Chenab River without consulting Pakistan. Initially, parts of the river dried up completely, but when India later opened the gates, a turbulent stream of water filled with silt rushed downstream and wreaked havoc as Pakistan watched helplessly.
India’s Dams: The Ultimate Strategic Leverage
The IEP report explains that India’s dams on western rivers are not massive storage facilities, but rather downstream projects that cannot permanently block the flow of water. But Pakistan’s nightmare is this: India controls when the gates open and close. India decides on timing of water release. India holds all the cards.
Under the 1960 agreement, India had promised to share the waters of the western rivers Indus, Jhelum and Chenab with Pakistan, while maintaining control over eastern rivers such as Beas, Ravi and Sutlej. However, with the suspension of the agreement, these commitments are no longer binding on India.
Pakistan fell into India’s trap
Pakistan has spent decades using terrorism as a weapon against India, believing it has the advantage thanks to Islamabad’s nuclear arsenal and jihadist proxies. What Pakistani strategists fatally miscalculated was India’s long-term investment in water infrastructure.
India built dams. India has developed hydropower projects. India has created the technical capacity to regulate river flows. And Pakistan, intoxicated with its terror strategy, never realized that it had given India the ultimate non-military weapon.
Now, after Operation Sindoor and the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, Pakistan faces a brutal reality: India can strangle Pakistan’s economy without firing a single shot, and there is nothing Islamabad can do about it.
The Australian report is not just an analysis; This is Pakistan’s obituary, written in waters controlled by India. And the tap is in New Delhi’s hands.
