Diddy seen in prison for first time as he walks through yard with gray beard after starting new job behind bars

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been seen in prison for the first time since his arrest last year after being transferred to a facility in New Jersey to serve the remainder of his four-year sentence.

First photos taken TMZ Combs, 55, was seen walking through the courtyard of the Fort Dix Federal Prison during recreation time on Friday.

His once well-groomed beard is now grey, and he looks rather untamed as he embraces the crisp autumn weather.

The disgraced hip-hop king, who has not been seen by the public since his arrest in September last year, also wore a beanie and sweatshirt.

Combs is currently incarcerated in a prison on the grounds of the joint McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst military base following his conviction on two prostitution charges.

It was not immediately clear when he was moved from the troubled Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he has been held since his arrest.

But according to TMZ, the Bad Boy Records founder has already managed to get a job in the prison’s laundry department.

Combs’ lawyers asked a judge earlier this month to ‘strongly recommend’ that he be transferred to a low-security men’s prison so he can participate in the facility’s drug treatment program.

FCI Fort Dix, one of several dozen federal prisons with a residential drug treatment program, would allow Combs to “address drug use issues and maximize family visits and rehabilitation efforts,” his attorney, Teny Geragos, wrote in a letter.

Combs has served approximately 14 months of his 50-month sentence and is scheduled to be released from prison on May 8, 2028.

However, by participating in substance abuse treatment and other prison programs, he can reduce the time he spends behind bars.

Earlier this week, Combs’ lawyers asked the federal appeals court to quickly consider the legality of his conviction and sentence.

His lawyers said that the 55-year-old wanted his appeal to be evaluated as soon as possible so that he could benefit from a reduction in the time he spent in prison if the appeal court overturned his conviction.

President Donald Trump also said Combs had asked for a pardon, but the Republican did not say whether he would grant the request.

Combs was convicted in July of flying his girlfriends and male sex workers across the country to engage in drug-fueled sexual encounters at multiple locations over many years.

But he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have put him behind bars for life.

In a letter to the judge before sentencing, Combs said he experienced a ‘spiritual reset’ in prison and was ‘committed to his journey to remain a drug-free, non-violent and peaceful person’.

Prosecutors had sought an 11-year sentence for Combs, but District Judge Arun Subramanian earlier this month sentenced him to 50 months in prison and a $500,000 fine.

Diddy’s defense appealed both the conviction and sentence, which could have affected the date listed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The date reflects the hip-hop star’s time serving at the infamous prison in Brooklyn.

Combs was acquitted by a jury in July of the most serious charges against him – sex trafficking and racketeering – but was found guilty of two counts of transporting people across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

Subramanian said his sentence was much shorter than the 70 to 87 months recommended by parole officers.

He told Combs he trusted him to “make the most of his second chance.”

Addressing the court in tears before the judge announced the sentence, Combs said he was ‘truly sorry’ for his actions.

Combs apologized to his family and victims, saying his behavior was “disgusting, shameful and sick.”

Subramanian pointed out that Combs’ prison sentence was not life long.

‘You’ll get through this,’ the judge told him and his family.
