SHO Suspended For Delay in Filing FIR

Hyderabad:Police commissioner VC Sajjanar on Saturday suspended Tappachabutra police station officer (SHO) B, Abhilash, for his delay in lodging an FIR in a case in which a police constable was attacked by a mob.
Sources said that the police officer, who was assigned to patrol duty as part of ‘Operation Chabutra’ about 10 days ago, was attacked by local people while detaining them for wandering around public places late at night. Abhilash had delayed lodging an FIR in the case.
After the matter came to the notice of senior officials, Sajjanar directed Kulsumpura ACP Md Munnawar to investigate and submit a report to south district DCP Sneha Mehra. After the report was submitted, action was taken against Abhilash.
Two days ago, Sajjannar suspended sub-inspector D. Srikanth Goud, posted in the central zone task force, for allegedly helping Vippula Satish, involved in a Rs 3,000 billion economic scam, escape to Maharashtra for a Rs 2 billion deal.
Man Wanted in Fraud Case Brought to Hyd
Hyderabad:A special team from the City Cyber Crime Unit (CCCU) arrested one Sharad Garg from his native Ghaziabad, UP and was brought to the city in connection with six insurance scams across the country and one in Telangana. Garg had disguised himself as a senior bank officer and duped a 37-year-old city-based victim of around Rs 6.5 lakh under the guise of renewing his insurance policy.
Garg told police that he met Ghaziabad residents Munna and Sunil Kumar in September and they introduced him to insurance fraud schemes and asked him to arrange mule bank accounts to receive money from the victims. Police said they promised him 15 percent commission. He duly opened several accounts and gave details to the duo. A press release issued by CCCU DCP Dara Kavitha stated that the investigation that led to his arrest was conducted by inspector P. Pramod Kumar.
Couple Escaped with Gold and Cash in Boduppal
Hyderabad:Medipally police said Sudhakar, an ex-convict, and his alleged romantic partner broke into two houses in Boduppal late on Friday night and fled with gold and silver jewelery and cash. The complainant, 28-year-old Kambala Ramaleela, a housewife, locked her house and went to her brother’s house at around 8.30 pm on October 30. When he returned home the next morning, he found that the main door lock was broken. He found that a bag kept on the shelf had been opened and some cash and silverware were missing, along with gold ornaments, including a pair of earrings weighing about 20 grams and other jewellery. He informed the police that the thieves also targeted a neighboring house belonging to Uppala Praveen, where they stole two pairs of gold earrings weighing around 5 grams.
Based on his complaint, Medipally police registered a case and started the investigation. CCTV footage obtained from the area where the theft took place identified the suspect as Sudhakar, who was previously convicted of burglary and housebreaking, and his alleged romantic partner (name withheld by police).
Man Ended His Life After an Argument with His Wife
Hyderabad: Mahesh, a 28-year-old trader from Wanaparthy, was found dead at Thondupalli in Shamshabad on Saturday. It is suspected that the person died by suicide after an argument with his 25-year-old wife Pelluri Sridevi. The couple had a daughter and a son.
Police said Mahesh developed a relationship with another woman and left his home around 15 days ago. He returned three days later. Around 10 am on October 31, Mahesh called his wife and asked for ‘10,000’. When he said that this amount did not belong to him, an argument broke out. Mahesh told him that he would visit his workplace but he never did. When he returned home later in the evening, Mahesh was missing. Shamshabad inspector K. Narender Reddy said the next morning Shamshabad police informed him that Mahesh was found dead in a private venture in Thondupalli.
