Reactions from Tanzania after President Hassan wins disputed election with more than 97% of vote

Hassan, who came to power in 2021, attended an event in the administrative capital Dodoma to receive the winner’s certificate from the electoral authorities. In his later statements, he said it was remarkable that Tanzanians overwhelmingly voted for a female leader.
