Three arrested after man allegedly kidnapped from Riverwood home

Three people have been arrested following the alleged abduction of a man from a home in Sydney’s south-west at the weekend.

Police were told an unknown number of men broke into the Riverwood home around 8 a.m. Sunday morning and allegedly assaulted a 42-year-old man before leaving the scene.

Detectives began an investigation later that night, which led them to a home on Susan Street in Auburn.

Police said when they arrived at the property in Auburn at around 8pm, they saw the 42-year-old being allegedly attacked by a woman who fled the scene with two men.

Following a foot pursuit, police arrested three people, a 44-year-old woman and two men, ages 28 and 33. All three were taken to Burwood Police Station. The woman was later taken to hospital and treated.

Officers established a crime scene at the Auburn home, where they seized a Mitsubishi SUV that allegedly contained cable ties and a baton. They also set up a crime scene at the Riverwood home.

No charges were filed as of early Monday morning as the investigation continues.
