Prince William and Princess Kate ‘throw party’ after ‘cursed’ three years | Royal | News

The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly threw a “thank you” party for all the builders and staff who helped them move into their new “forever home”. Prince William and Princess Kate have said goodbye to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor’s Home Park and are now settled at Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
Ahead of Bonfire Night and Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were looking to settle into their new home before returning to Lambrook School for the end of term today. According to reports, William and Kate served drinks and food at The York Club, a private club for residents and staff of The Crown Estate, on Friday.
It is near the family’s new home in Windsor Great Park.
A source said Daily Mail: “The couple very sweetly wanted to thank everyone who worked tirelessly to help.”
The family reportedly spent most of the last semester break completing the move before William’s trip to Brazil today.
Renovations were continuing non-stop, with builders working “properly”, so the move-in date was brought forward.
The eight-bedroom Georgian mansion and its 150-acre grounds were cordoned off to ensure the family’s safety and privacy.
A source told the outlet a few weeks ago: “The hope is that they will be in their new home in time for Bonfire Night. This will be a fun start for the kids.”
The move follows a difficult period at Windsor, where Queen Elizabeth passed away and the King and Kate were diagnosed with cancer.
The outlet claimed the future King viewed the family’s experience at Adelaide Cottage as “cursed”.
The source added: “Sadly Adelaide Cottage has some difficult memories of this.
“They went through their toughest times there. The family is really happy with this situation.” [move] And I’m excited for a new beginning.”
