Alfie Boe, 52, confirms romance with used car auction house manager, 29, with date night snap – two years after secret fling with Hannah Waddingham

Alfie Boe confirmed his romance with Elizabeth Worth on Monday by sharing a photo of the pair enjoying a cozy date night at London’s Savoy Hotel.

The 52-year-old singer was first seen walking around hand in hand with the 29-year-old after having lunch together in Marylebone in June.

And he finally officially introduced his new girlfriend to the world on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself with his arm around her with the caption: ‘A lovely date at the Savoy with @elizabethwortho ♥️’.

The Daily Mail revealed the identity of Alfie’s new love, who is 22 years his junior and hails from Warrington, in July.

Elizabeth works as a business development manager at used car auction house BCA UK, but previously held a position at a second-hand BMW dealership in her home town of Cheshire.

It’s unclear how she and Alfie met, but sources close to her latest partner told the Daily Mail that Alfie was “destined” to date someone famous.

However, Elizabeth’s mother denied any love affair between the pair at the time, telling the Daily Mail: ‘They are not an item and are just good friends.’

Roseann Worthington said her daughter called her to say she had been photographed with the star in London and told her mother: ‘This is absolutely ridiculous.’

He insisted: ‘Even if they are an item then what happens, is it really relevant and who is looking after it at the moment? And my daughter has a boyfriend her own age, not her father’s age.’

Alfie’s new romance is his first since his secret fling with Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham two years ago.

The two had known each other for years but were always in a relationship; Until 2022, they were both single and enjoyed dates at restaurants, including Scott’s in Richmond.

And according to The Sun, Hannah, 51, managed to ‘sneak’ Alfie backstage during Eurovision to keep the relationship secret.

The source said: ‘With Hannah’s career on a huge upswing, she wanted to let her work do the talking and not her personal life so they deliberately kept things quiet.

‘During the Eurovision craze, it was especially difficult to keep things under wraps when all the limelight was on her.

‘But they managed to sneak Alfie backstage and keep things understated. Things did not go well, but friendly relations remain.’

Alfie was previously married to his ex-wife Sarah, with whom he shares children Grace, 17, and Alfred, 13.

In August 2020, the couple broke up after 16 years of marriage and it was alleged that the singer was looking for women on the famous dating app Raya.

The couple had previously lived in the US as a family and had been living in the Cotswolds with their children since 2018.

However, as they stayed together during the Covid pandemic in 2020, all their troubles came to the surface and they decided to separate.

A source told The Sun at the time: ‘It seems lockdown was too much for Alfie and Sarah. Realizing that their relationship is becoming increasingly tense, the couple says that they have now decided to separate.

‘He’s a very doting father and wants everything to be amicable for the sake of the children, but he’s ready to move on.’

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Alfie said: ‘Following speculation that my marriage to Sarah was over, I can confirm that we have separated.

An insider told The Sun at the time: ‘He was sitting in the friends and family section and when Alfie said he was dedicating his Tonight Appearance to ‘someone special’ he nudged his pal thinking he meant her.’

They added: ‘Alfie was so charming she fell completely in love with him. He even called her at midnight on New Year’s Eve and she really appreciated it.

‘The fact that he paid tribute to Sarah after months of claiming he wasn’t happy and then blocked her the same night left her feeling worthless.’

The classical singer admitted it was a “terrible time”, admitting he went to a “really dark place” after splitting from Sarah in 2022 and even went to rehab after an overdose.

Speaking to Wim Hoff on BBC reality show Freeze the Fear, he said: ‘When my breakup initially happened, I went into a really dark place.

‘It’s weird talking about it, I haven’t talked about it publicly, but if it can help someone who needs it, I’m willing to talk about it.

Following his split, he was reportedly dating fashion blogger Liv Knight-Butler (pictured), who is 21 years his junior, after the pair were spotted together at a restaurant in West London.

Following their separation, his ex-wife Sarah moved back to the United States with their two children to be closer to family in Utah.

In February 2024, Alfie opened up about how he was managing his relationship with his children while they lived abroad.

He explained: ‘I have a 15-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son who live in America with their mother and we’ve had some wonderful holidays in California.

‘Their preferred destination is usually Universal Studios in Florida. ‘On our last visit my daughter insisted on spending the whole day in the Hogwarts area.’
