Andrew ‘ordered ex-lover’s landlady to curtsey to him’ | Royal | News

One of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s lovers allegedly made an outrageous demand on her landlord. The former Duke of York was married to Sarah Ferguson from 1986 until their divorce was finalized in 1996.

The disgraced royal, who was stripped of her titles and honors by her brother the King, will also leave Royal Lodge in Windsor, her home of 20 years. According to reports, Andrew had his share of romantic relationships after his divorce. One of them was with Australian Emma Gibbs, now known by her married name Emma Farah.

Gibbsy was reportedly introduced to Andrew by Ghislaine Maxwell, as she was then known, who was convicted of child sex trafficking and other crimes linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

During her romance with the former prince, the Australian lived in a “delightful” four-bedroom house in Chelsea, London, which Andrew visited regularly.

But while being informal was the norm for the then-girlfriend, the same was not true for the host, who was asked to curtsy in front of the royal family, sources say.

Richard Eden of the Daily Mail said: “Although he was extremely friendly to ‘Gibbsy’, he was far less flexible with the house’s other resident, a glamorous European woman.

“He was astonished that he had been given a royal education, even though he owned the house and not Gibbsy.”

A friend told the press: “He was struck by the fact that he was told to curtsy in his own house.”Gibbsy was his tenant. Frankly, it was absolutely ridiculous. “This really shows that he thinks he’s above the law.”
