Baba Bageshwar Yatra to begin on November 7 from Chhattarpur: Delhi Police releases traffic advisory, see route restrictions

Delhi Traffic Police on Tuesday issued a travel alert and announced traffic restrictions and diversions in some parts of South Delhi on November 7 and 8 due to the upcoming Baba Bageshwar Dham Padh Yatra.

Yatra Details and Expected Attendance

The Padh Yatra will start from Adhya Katyayani Mandir, Chhattarpur and proceed towards Shree Banke Bihari Mandir, Vrindavan (Uttar Pradesh) on 7 November at 11 am.
Authorities expect a large gathering of more than 50,000 devotees accompanied by a long convoy of vehicles.

Traffic Restrictions and Redirects

According to the recommendation, “restrictions on the movement of all types of vehicles will apply” and traffic flow for light motor vehicles (LMVs) and private cars will be regulated or diverted to the following routes to avoid congestion:

  • Y-point, Chhattarpur to Dera More (SSN Marg) — 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • CDR Chowk to Y point, Chhattarpur and vice versa — 08:00 to 16:00
  • Dera More to point Y to Chhattarpur and vice versa — 08:00 – 20:00
  • Zeer Khod to Dera More and vice versa — 13.00 to 22.00
  • Zeer Khod to Dera More and vice versa — 07.00-13.00

Parking Restrictions and Fines

From 08:00 to 22:00 on November 7, parking of all vehicles in the area from CDR Chowk to Dera Mandi and Zeer Khod will be strictly prohibited.


The warning stated that “vehicles parked in these areas will be towed and their owners will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.”

Public Consultation and Alternative Routes

Delhi Traffic Police has urged citizens to stay away from SSN Marg, Chhattarpur Mandir Road and 100 Futa Road and advised them to plan their travel in advance and use alternative routes to avoid delays.

“Motorists should plan their journeys in advance using alternative routes to avoid delays,” the advisor said.

Passengers traveling from SSN Marg to Faridabad are advised not to use SSN Marg and instead use MG Road via CDR Chowk.

Passengers going to Gurugram via Zeer Khod Road from SSN Marg have to use Mandi Road at CDR Chowk.

Emergency Vehicles and Essential Services

The advisory clarified that emergency service vehicles, including Delhi Police, ambulances, fire brigade and other essential services, will have unrestricted access to restricted routes while carrying out emergency duties.

However, such vehicles were also advised to avoid affected roads on 7 November to avoid delays or inconvenience.
