Train services were stopped at Ashton-under-Lyne railway station due to police intervention. Police, paramedics and fire crews intervened in the incident that occurred at the station. While firefighters enter the police station, ambulances and police vehicles can be seen in the parking lot.

Services between Manchester and Stalybridge have been suspended due to emergency measures. It’s unclear at this time what the incident is, but the disruption is expected to last until 8 p.m. National Rail said: “The emergency service dealing with an incident between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge means all lines are closed. Trains may be canceled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised as a result.”
