Members of the House Oversight Committee have demanded that disgraced Andrew sit for a “written interview” in connection with his “longstanding friendship” with the convicted pedophile.

In a letter sent to the former prince on Thursday, US politicians said their committee had identified “financial records containing notes such as ‘Massage for Andrew’ that raise serious questions”.

Robert Garcia, the US congressional panel’s most senior Democrat, said: “Rich and powerful men have evaded justice for too long. Now former Prince Andrew has the opportunity to come clean and secure justice for survivors. Surveillance Democrats will not stop fighting for accountability and transparency for Epstein’s survivors and his gang of collaborators.”

The official request, sent in a letter, comes just days after the disgraced royal was stripped of her titles and honors over her links to Epstein. The letter was signed by Congressman Garcia as well as 15 other Democratic committee members.

letter He read to Andrew: “It has been publicly reported that your friendship with Mr. Epstein began in 1999 and that you remained close until and after his conviction for procuring minors for prostitution in 2008. It was also reported that you traveled with Epstein to his residence in New York, the Queen’s residence at Balmoral and Mr. Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands, where you are accused of abusing minors.”

“This close relationship with Mr. Epstein, combined with the recently revealed 2011 email exchange in which you wrote to him, ‘We are in this together,’ further confirms our suspicion that you may have valuable information about the crimes committed by Mr. Epstein and his accomplices.”

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey urged Andrew to heed the invitation.

He said of X: “It’s true Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is appearing before the US Congress over his links to Epstein and his victims. He must also present evidence to our Parliament. The public deserves answers and full transparency on this scandal.”

Epstein committed suicide in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.

Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.
