Alan was seen defeating much-loved former England rugby star Joe Marler and his treacherous pal Cat Burns.

Alan looked a bit worn out this morning after spending a drunken night with Kate Garraway to watch the highly anticipated scenes.

In the tense finale, Alan was declared the winner as the final three contestants joined Claudia Winkleman outside Ardross Castle.

The comedian said: ‘I was so bad, I had no poker face but here I am. Maybe I exaggerate the show business story sometimes. But it was hard to lie to people’s faces.’

He continued: ‘I guess I just realized I’ve won such a huge amount for my charity Neuroblastoma UK.

‘Philanthropy is so close to my heart that it’s all a bit much. I hope when people see how upset I am, they won’t feel so bad for killing all these national treasures.’

Neuroblastoma UK is a national charity dedicated to finding a cure for aggressive childhood cancer.
