George Clooney, 64, names the 2 actors he thinks will become megastars… 30 years after he found fame

George Clooney has revealed which two young actors he thinks will have unforgettable Hollywood careers.
The 64-year-old veteran actor, who rose to fame in his thirties on ER, appeared on stage this week. Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast will add Netflix movie Jay Kelly.
While there, he talked about the young stars who caught his eye: 29-year-old Zendaya and 37-year-old Glen Powell.
She said: ‘I think Zendaya can act on television, she can act in commercials, she can act in movies. He seems to have the ability to handle this ability.’
The longtime leading man mentioned Glen’s name, citing the similar timeline of their careers.
‘I think Glen Powell is doing some interesting things as a young player; He’s kind of hanging around around the time I’m shooting and he seems to want to direct and produce and write and do all of this with a little bit of humor about himself, which I think is an important element when you look back. ‘I’m not ready to call them all dead yet,’ George remarked.

George plays movie star Jay Kelly in his latest film, opposite Adam Sandler, who plays Jay’s personal manager Ron.
In the movie, his character is the leading actor who ‘always plays himself’.
In the first trailer, the Oscar winner is seen questioning her life choices despite being fawned over by fans and staff.
He is hailed as a ‘hero of cinema’ during a trip to an Italian film festival held in his honour, with his agent in attendance.
As Jay embarks on a whirlwind road trip through Europe with his friend, he constantly reminds himself that he’s ‘Jay Kelly’, feeling like his showbiz glamor is losing its shine.
The film was directed by Noah Baumbach, who wrote the script with British actress Emily Mortimer.
The official synopsis reads: ‘Two middle-aged friends rediscover their youthful spirit during a chaotic weekend get-together, facing hilarious mishaps and heartfelt moments that force them to finally grow up.’
The drama-comedy, which will be in theaters on November 14, will be released on Netflix on December 5.

Noah wrote the role of Jay specifically for Ocean’s 11th star, saying he wouldn’t have made the movie if he hadn’t signed on.
Notable parallels between actor and character include their Kentucky roots and illustrious careers.
‘He added the Kentucky thing and a few things like that during the shoot,’ George told THR about the director.
‘He kept looking at my life and adding things and I said, ‘Calm down.’
Viewers will also notice a montage of Jay’s past work; this is essentially a collection of George’s TV and movie highlights.
‘This shocked me,’ the star admitted.
He said: ‘When I made Up In The Air’ there was all this talk about how to make it. [the character] He was and was very much like me; I said things like ‘I never want to get married again’ and things like that.’
