In September, Georgia revealed that she had a follower on social media who she claimed offered a reward for her murder, and that she had reached out to Facebook as well as its owner, Mark Zuckerberg, to ask if action could be taken.

He shared an example of one of the threats: ‘Anyone who kills Georgia Tennant immediately will receive a reward from me.’

Earlier this year, the actress shared a sweet tribute to her actor husband as they celebrated 17 years since they first dated.

Sharing a gallery of photos taken throughout their relationship, Georgia gushed about her “kind, funny and relentlessly generous” husband.

But she also took the chance to poke fun at her husband when he once again missed out on winning a BAFTA Television Award over the weekend, despite being nominated for his role in Disney+ series Rivals.

Georgia’s caption read: ‘It’s been 17 years since we were us. I’m so relieved that I can do everything with you. My kind, funny, relentlessly generous, Bafta-free love. You are that x.’

The couple met in 2008, when Georgia was cast as Jenny, David’s character’s genetically modified daughter, in the hit BBC series Doctor Who, and they married three years later.

The acclaimed star was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for his role in Rivals, but missed out on Lennie Jamies’ gong for Mr. Loverman.

Despite being praised for his role in Rivals, which is currently filming a second series, ITV’s hopes of turning him into one of its new faces have failed as his last show was one of the channel’s biggest ratings flops in years.

The actor hosted Genius Game, which cost ITV more than £2.5 million to produce.

Despite the channel’s investment in the former Time Lord, viewing figures released this week showed only an average of 739,000 people watched the channel.

A television insider said Sun: ‘The Genius Game was a reflection of ITV’s rush to create the next big challenge show following the huge success of The Traitors.

‘They chose Tennant because he was a well-known name, but his insignificant fee also increased the cost of producing the programme. However, even though so much money was poured into the series, it did not achieve good ratings.’

On the prime-time reality game show, contestants compete in a series of mental challenges.

During the first show, Genius Game started with an average of 1.2 million viewers but dropped dramatically to 846,000 in the second episode.

Ratings fell again this week and ITV announced it would cut the series from two episodes a week to one.
