Major motorway closed as air ambulance lands after crash
Emergency services rushed to the M25 after the UK’s busiest motorway was forced to close on Saturday afternoon.
“Traffic is currently STOPPED counter-clockwise on the M25 between J25 (#WalthamCross) and J24 (#PottersBar) due to a multi-vehicle collision,” National Highways East said.
“Delays are increasing due to the approach. Please allow extra travel time.”
The highway organization said there were approximately 60-minute delays and four miles of traffic jams due to the earlier closure.
It was stated that the M25 has reopened clockwise.
“The injury is not as serious as initially feared,” National Highways East added, without providing further information.
