Teen Auto Driver Booked For Obscene Acts

Hyderabad: Action was taken against a young autorickshaw driver after a video surfaced on Saturday showing him driving the vehicle with a girl on his lap at Nalgonda junction in Malakpet on Friday night. In the video, they are seen making a public display of affection as they drive the vehicle towards Koti.

Chaderghat SHO Brahma Murari Kasani said, “After verifying the CCTV footage from Nalgonda to Koti, we identified the car and its registration number.” During the preliminary investigation, witnesses told police that the young driver became angry when people tried to record his actions on their mobile phones. The vehicle registered in Nalgonda district was tracked and teams were dispatched to take the suspect into custody.

“The boy is absconding. A case has been registered under relevant sections for public indecency, misdemeanor driving and creating nuisance,” the SHO said. “Viral video collected as evidence.”
