Ramchander Rao Backs BJP Win

Hyderabad: BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao said the “overwhelming public response” to the party’s campaign clearly points to a decisive victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election. He said voters have seen the “corruption and failures” of the Congress and BRS and are ready to bid farewell to their misrule.

Addressing a public meeting in Vengal Raonagar, Ramchander Rao alleged that Hyderabad’s growth had stagnated under successive Congress and BRS governments. “Filthy sewers, overflowing sewers and roads that turn into rivers after a short rain – this is their legacy,” he lamented.

The BJP leader accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and former minister KT Rama Rao of jointly pushing Hyderabad into decline. “During its 23 months in power, the Congress government has not fulfilled even one of its six guarantees or 420 promises,” he said. “Schemes like unemployment benefits, wage refunds, gold for weddings, scooters and cash assistance for women, Indiramma housing and international schools remain only on paper,” he alleged.

Asserting that real progress can only be possible under BJP leadership, he appealed to voters to elect BJP candidate Lanka Deepak Reddy and achieve a resounding victory in Jubilee Hills.

Speaking at the meeting, BJP MP Rajya Sabha and OBC Morcha president Dr. K. Laxman claimed that the Congress was facing certain defeat and vented its frustration on the BJP. He accused both the Congress and the BRS of stalling Telangana’s progress by failing to deliver on promises like farm loan waivers, job creation and women’s welfare.

He said the Modi government had sanctioned over Rs 12 lakh crore for infrastructure, roads, railways and education to Telangana and declared that only a “twin-engine BJP government” could guarantee lasting development.
