Powerful earthquake with magnitude 6.07 strikes Andaman Islands

According to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), an earthquake measuring 6.07 on the Richter scale hit India’s Andaman Islands. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremor occurred at 12:06 IST, with the epicenter in the Andaman Sea at a depth of 90 kilometers (12.49°N latitude, 93.83°E longitude).

No casualties have been reported so far.
