Royal fans’ issue with Meghan Markle’s outing on Remembrance weekend | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were attending glitzy events in Los Angeles, and royal fans had only one complaint. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made two appearances on Saturday evening, hours after the Royal Family attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall and before the somber ceremony at the Cenotaph on Sunday.
Harry and Meghan were photographed at Baby2Baby’s annual gala to support their friend Serena Williams, who was honored at the event, before heading to Kris Jenner’s birthday party. The couple looked dazzling at the joyous occasion, with Harry wearing a tuxedo and Meghan wearing all black.
But Meghan’s turtleneck top appeared to be a different shade of black or a different material than her black skirt, and royal fans were not impressed.
Many expressed their disapproval on social media, with one user writing on Instagram: “A polo neck jumper with a skirt and these aren’t even the same shade of black. Odd choice for a black tie event.”
The second said: “I am truly horrified.”
A third added: “The only thing that bothers me is the different shades of black (top and skirt). It’s not always visible but once you see it you can’t take it back.”
Another commented: “I wonder if the top and bottom look the same when getting dressed.”
A fifth asked: “Finally found a MM outfit that I don’t like. Why don’t the skirt and top match???”
Another commented: “Love the shoes but the neck is showing [a] It’s a little weird and I don’t like the tone difference, but I still like the shoes.”
That same evening, the Sussex couple, through the Archewell Foundation, made a new announcement about their philanthropic efforts amid a “growing hunger crisis” in the United States.
