With a peak audience of 12 million, it was the BBC’s biggest overnight audience since Gavin & Stacey’s Christmas special last year, leaving many wondering what the future held for the comedian.
Meanwhile, Katya believes former professional Janette Manrara would be a perfect fit for the show.
Katya, 36, said: ‘The space would be great fun but I think Janette Manrara would make a great host.
‘He knows the dance, he knows what we’re going through. He would bring real heart.’
Janette, 41, presents Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two with Fleur East, 38. The former professional dancer takes over the role from Zoe Ball in 2021.
But sources say the broadcaster “could cast two more women” but also needs to consider “what the show will look and feel like” in the future.
A source told Sun: ‘What’s more certain is the fact that executives are expected to choose two more women, as the Beeb values the symbolism of an all-female presenting team on its biggest Saturday night show.’

In a separate update, the insider added: ‘They discussed this privately and agreed they would leave together, but kept it strictly under wraps.
‘It’s incredible they managed to keep this a secret for so long. Only senior executives at the BBC and their immediate families knew.’
The Daily Mail has contacted the BBC for comment.
Names to replace the host duo are already being suggested; Zoe Ball, Holly Willoughby, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton are in the front row.
Other names mentioned so far include Roman Kemp, former Strictly pro Janette Manara and former contestant Alex Scott.
TV and radio veteran Zoe is one of the biggest names to emerge as the new presenter of the BBC dance competition.
The mother of two will be a natural fit for the gig, as she knows the show well thanks to her former role as host on the show’s spin-off It Takes Two.
She is currently a 2-1 favorite to take on the role following Tess and Claudia’s departure from the show, according to Coral Bookmakers.
