Ghislaine Maxwell’s ‘secret deal for freedom’ sparks fury as Trump accused of Epstein cover-up

A top Democrat has accused Donald Trump of hitting back at Ghislaine Maxwell, claiming Trump gave closed-door testimony exonerating the President in the Jeffrey Epstein case in exchange for her freedom.

According to Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, Maxwell is preparing a commutation application for approval by the Trump administration.

Rep. Jamie Raskin sent Trump an impassioned letter on Sunday, repeating accusations of corruption from a whistleblower who claimed he received preferential treatment in prison.

The six-page letter accused the President of allowing ‘corrupt misuse of law enforcement resources’ and requested that Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Blanche testify before the Judiciary Committee.

Raskin claimed Blanche, Pam Bondi’s aide and Trump’s former lawyer, was involved in a ‘potential exchange of favors’.

The Democratic lawmaker claimed a July meeting between Blanche and Maxwell resulted in a deal “due to false testimony exonerating you” [Trump] and other Epstein accomplices.’

Blanche and Maxwell met over a two-day period in July to discuss Epstein’s case and other potential accomplices. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in aiding the pedophile billionaire in his sex trafficking crimes.

Maxwell’s recorded testimony cleared Trump of any wrongdoing amid scrutiny of the President’s personal relationship with Epstein.

Following a closed-door meeting with Blanche, Maxwell was transferred to a minimum security prison in Texas, where he was reportedly ‘much, much happier’.

Raskin’s latest letter follows up on a previous statement Democrats sent to the Justice Department, accusing the administration of “blatant violations of the BOP.” [Bureau of Prison] including policies that expressly prohibit the placement of sex offenders in such facilities.’

Previously, Maxwell was serving a prison sentence for aiding Epstein at FCI Tallahassee, a ‘low security’ prison for men and women. But the latest prison site is a ‘minimum security’ camp for women only.

However, according to an anonymous tipster, Maxwell now plans to send a commutation application to Trump through her attorney, Leah Saffian.

“I’m having a hard time keeping it all together because it’s large and there are so many attachments,” Maxwell wrote in an email with the subject line ‘RE: Transition Application’.

Maxwell plans to send application materials through the prison warden for administration review.

If Trump approves Maxwell’s request, her 20-year sex trafficking sentence would be significantly reduced.

Maxwell added: ‘More are coming to replace others… hopefully it all makes sense.’

The Supreme Court rejected Maxwell’s conviction appeal last month, meaning her only hope for freedom is a pardon or commutation from Trump.

White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told the Daily Mail: ‘The White House does not comment on possible clemency requests. As President Trump has stated, pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he is considering.’
