The name of Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman, who sided with Republicans to end the government shutdown, received a “boo” from a viewer on “The View” when co-host Whoopi Goldberg announced he would join the show this week.

“We can talk to him about it tomorrow…Senator John Fetterman will be here tomorrow,” Goldberg said, prompting someone in the audience to “boo” loudly.

Goldberg glanced briefly toward the fraudster before continuing: “So we’re going to ask him this: [Fetterman]’What the hell?'”

Fetterman was one of eight Senate Democrats who joined Republicans in developing a measure to reopen the government that sparked backlash from progressives on Sunday.

Goldberg and the show’s other hosts harshly criticized senators over the deal. Host Sunny Hostin scolded Democrats on Monday, saying they have “let down the American people.”

Fetterman’s vote came as six Democrats and Independent Maine Sen. Angus King, along with many others, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-Y) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), have vowed to oppose the measure until additional health care subsidies are included, which many have signaled a divide within the party.

Democrats have been deadlocked with Republicans since the shutdown went into effect Oct. 1; Republicans need 60 votes to override the filibuster in the Senate.

Both parties still appear to be deadlocked on extending expiring Obamacare subsidies, but appropriators have moved forward with a package of spending bills that Republicans hope will end what is already the longest shutdown in U.S. history.
