Red Fort Blast: Those responsible for Delhi blast will not be spared, Rajnath Singh warns

Speaking at the ‘Delhi Defense Dialogue’, his remarks came a day after a high-intensity explosion at traffic signals near Red Fort Metro Station killed at least 12 people and injured many others.
“I want to assure my fellow citizens that the country’s leading investigative agencies are conducting a prompt and thorough investigation into the incident. The findings of the investigation will soon be made public. I want to give absolute assurance to the nation that those responsible for this tragedy will be brought to justice and will not be spared under any circumstances,” Singh said.

The Minister of Defense also expressed his deep sorrow for the loss of life in the explosion and offered his condolences to the families of the victims. “I offer my sincere condolences to everyone who lost their lives in the tragic accident that took place in Delhi yesterday. I pray to God to give strength and solace to the bereaved families in this moment of deep sorrow.”
The national capital remains on high alert following Monday’s explosion; Security is being tightened around key facilities including the Red Fort, Delhi airport and railway stations. Multiple agencies, including the Delhi Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), are investigating the case. Additionally, a case has been registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Explosives Act. An explosion ripped through a car near Lal Qila Metro Station during evening rush hour, causing fires to burn several vehicles and causing panic in the area. While authorities investigate possible terrorist links behind the attack, forensic teams and bomb disposal units were assigned to collect evidence from the area.
