London: Boy, 5, in a critical condition after horror incident at crazy golf course | UK | News

A child was left in a critical condition after a wall collapsed at a crazy golf course birthday party. Paramedics from London Air Ambulance took the boy to hospital, where his ‘life-threatening condition’ remains. Police were called to the Sidcup Family Golf course on the Sidcup Bypass in South East London at around 5.45pm on Sunday.

A six-year-old girl was also injured and taken to hospital but was later discharged. Initial reports suggest the child may have suffered a head injury, but the exact circumstances are still being investigated and it is not yet clear which wall in the building collapsed. One person said he was at the child’s birthday party when the wall collapsed.

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 5.39pm on November 9 to reports of an injured person on the Sidcup Bypass, BR7.

“We sent ambulance crews, paramedics in rapid response vehicles, an advanced paramedic and incident response officer to the scene. We also sent a trauma team by car from the London Air Ambulance.

“We treated two children at the scene, one of whom was seriously injured. Both were taken to hospital.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called to Sidcup By-Pass in Chislehurst at 5.44pm on Sunday, November 9, to reports that a child had been injured by a collapsed wall. “Officers attended and paramedics were treating a five-year-old child.

“He was taken to hospital by the London Air Ambulance and remains in a life-threatening condition. A six-year-old girl was also injured and has since been discharged from hospital. Investigations are ongoing.”

Following the incident, Sidcup Family Golf was temporarily closed.

The firm wrote on its website: “Sidcup Family Golf is closed today due to an incident on the course.
