Heathrow shutdown caused by problem found seven years ago

A report reported that the problems that caused a fire that caused Heathrow airport closure were first detected seven years ago, but was not fixed.

The National Energy System Operator (Neso) said moisture entering the electrical components in the North Hyde transformer center causing a fire that provides power of the largest airport in England.

Heathrow closed the next day as a result of power cut, which led to thousands of canceled flights and trapped passengers.

Neso said that previously affected 66,919 domestic and commercial customers, including the Heathrow airport. Approximately 270,000 journeys were affected.

The report said that the fire was probably causing a short circuit to the moisture entering the horoscope. Then electricity “increased” combined with air and heat for the firing of oil (causes sparks).

The horoscope is a mechanical device used to tempt the energy between the two parts of the electricity.

In response to the report, Heathrow Airport said a combination of “old regulations, inadequate security mechanisms and the national Grid’s” this “disaster power deduction” infrastructure.
