Egyptian migrant, 24, is charged with raping woman in her 30s in a Bournemouth woodland

An Egyptian man has been accused of raping a woman in her 30s in Bournemouth.
Mohammed Fathi Eltbie, 24, is accused of attacking the woman in woodland off Maxwell Road on Wednesday.
Police received a report of rape at 9.18pm and arrested Eltbie, who did not specify his ethnicity.
A cordon was established at Winton Recreation Ground while officers investigated the incident.
Eltbie will appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court today.
Police urged the public not to comment on the case to avoid damaging the hearing.

Detective Inspector Mark Jenkins, of Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team, said: ‘We have continued to provide support to the victim and he has been kept informed of this latest development.
‘This matter will be subject to active court proceedings and it is vital that the justice process is allowed to take its course.
‘We therefore urge the public to refrain from speculating or commenting on this case, particularly on the internet and social media.’
