Govt Advisers Say TG Eyes Modern Technical Education

NIZAMABAD: P. Sudarshan Reddy, advisor to the government on development and welfare programs and Mohammed Shabbir Ali, advisor to SC, ST and minority welfare departments, said quality education is essential to shape the future of students in the best possible way. They noted that Prime Minister Revanth Reddy has taken comprehensive measures to strengthen technical education, which has been seriously neglected in the last decade. The government is committed to creating ample employment and livelihood opportunities for youth by developing modern technical education, officials added.
TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, MLAs Dr R. Bhoopathi Reddy and Dhanpal Suryanarayana along with district collector T. Vinay Krishna Reddy formally inaugurated the newly constructed hostel buildings at the Government Polytechnic College premises on Friday. Alumnus B. Prathap Reddy donated ₹ 1.06 crore for the construction of hostels, while Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited contributed ₹ 2.86 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility. With these funds, separate hostels for boys, girls, SC students and ST students were constructed in the college premises.
Speaking at the event, Sudarshan Reddy and Shabbir Ali said that the state has established 66 Advanced Technology Centers to offer modern, technology-based courses suitable to current social needs. They said that arrangements have been made to provide rapid employment opportunities to the youth who complete these courses and a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with Tata Company to support this effort.
On this occasion, graduate B. Prathap Reddy and BHEL deputy general manager Selvam, who contributed to the hostel construction, were thanked. State Urdu Academy president Taher Bin Handan, State Cooperative Societies Union Limited president Manala Mohan Reddy, Zilla Granthalaya Samstha president Anthireddy Rajireddy, DCCB president Ramesh Reddy, A. Pullayya, Polytechnic College principal Bharathi, Polytechnic alumni association president P. Bala Narasimhulu, general secretary Thota Rajashekar and others were present.
